Malbec
Corazon del sol crafts captivating Malbec and Grenache-based wines that capture the best of Argentina’s unique, high altitude terroir. Cultivated in the Uco Valley, which is situated in Mendoza on the eastern side of the Andes Mountains, our vines enjoy over 300 days of sunshine a year.
Gran Reserva Malbec
Malbec is the common thread between our vineyard sites. The Gran Reserva arises from the selection of the best barrels of Malbec from each vineyard site. With this blend of top barrels from each vintage, we create a very complex wine with great depth that maintains the elegance we strive for in all our wines. New and second-use barrels of two sizes, 225 and 160 liters, tame the tannins that come from the concentration of the clusters in the vineyard - the result of leaving a single cluster per shoot. Aging 18 to 24 months in barrel gives the last touch of finesse to this super premium Malbec.
Single Parcel Malbec Series
These wines were inspired by studying our vineyards as a whole and as their own unique microclimates. Together with a geologist, the technical team dedicated themselves to differentiating the soils present in each block. From this study, the idea arose to show our consumers the personalities of Malbec in Los Chacayes, but above all, the style of wine that comes from the sandy soil.
Inspired by the vineyard plaques identifying the name and technical data of each variety, the label of our Single Parcel Malbecs identify soil characteristics and how they translate into the final product.
Inedito
Inedito is simply the best barrel of the year. Selected from multiple rounds of tasting and bottled specially, we present the opportunity to taste what our winemaking team decides is the very best of the vintage. We bottle this wine without filtration so that when opened, it contains the same sensory characteristics that we enjoy when tasting straight from the barrel. Every year a new chapter opens.
Malbec Uco Valley
This Malbec is the freshest and most fruity of our Malbec family, with aromas of red fruits and a freshness in the mouth that characterizes it. We seek to obtain a typical Malbec from Los Chacayes, with young color nuances, purple and red tones, aged in used barrels to have the greatest possible freshness.
